BC Health Regulators launch public safety campaign

“Saying you are one doesn’​​​​t make you one”

​On Sept. 21, 2015, BC Health Regulators launched a new public awareness campaign, “Saying you are one doesn’t make you one,” designed to encourage British Columbians to obtain health services from licensed and regulated health care professionals. 

The video campaign features children pretending to be health care professionals with disastrous – and humorous – results, demonstrating the risk associated with receiving care from unlicensed individuals. A registered nurse is the subject of one of the four initial videos released:
