Registrant advisory: Phone scam

Updated June 7, 2016

Scam alert

We recently learned about a potential scam targeting CRNBC registrants.

A practising CRNBC registrant received an automated message purportedly from CRNBC. The automated caller stated that the registrant was not registered, and CRNBC had a lien against her assets and was taking other actions against the nurse. It is not clear what the intention was for the phone call.

CRNBC does not communicate with nurses using automated message systems. Nurses can check their registration status using our verification system. CRNBC does not call nurses when they do not renew their registration.

If you receive a similar or suspicious message from CRNBC, please contact CRNBC at 604-736-7331 or toll-free 1.800.565.6505
