Notice of suspension: Edgardo Santiago

Nurses are reminded that inappropriate behaviour in the workplace has consequences

posted May 1, 2017

CRNBC on April 25, 2017, suspended Edgardo Santiago of Victoria, B.C. for five months as part of a consensual agreement reached to address his inappropriate conduct of a sexualized nature with a colleague in the workplace.

Mr. Santiago has also agreed to complete significant coursework on harassment in the workplace; if coursework is complete within three months, the suspension may be reduced to that duration. The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that these terms will protect the public.

Sexual harassment and bullying in the workplace

Nurses are reminded that overtly sexual behaviour, sexually harassing a colleague or bullying in the workplace are unacceptable behaviours.
