Registration Assessor

The College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) has an opening for a temporary Registration Assessor — from Dec. 19, 2016 to approximately the end of March 2017 — within the Registration, Inquiry and Discipline Department. In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team, renewing and re-instating close to 40,000 registered nurses located across British Columbia.

What you will do​​

Reporting to the Registration Program Manager, and working as a member of the registration renewal team, the Registration Assessor (RA) works with his or her teammates to:

  • Assist registrants with the completion of the online renewal process including issues relating to login and access, completion of web forms and payment issues
  • Explain College bylaws, policies and procedures pertaining to registration renewal to registrants
  • Provide excellent customer service while responding to a high volume of telephone calls and emails

Skills &​​ abilities

The successful candidate will have a post-secondary degree and experience in an administrative, government or regulatory body environment preferred. Customer service experience is essential.

Additional skill requirements include:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills and familiarity with relational databases, online forms and web applications
